What do I wear for a photoshoot on Ibiza?
Styling tips for timeless, effortless images.

One of the most common questions before a photoshoot in Ibiza is:
“What should I wear?”

And that makes perfect sense. Clothing influences not only how you look, but also how an image feels. The right outfit helps you relax, complements the natural light, and allows us to create photos that feel effortless, elegant and timeless.

Whether you’re planning a love shoot, maternity session, or personal branding shoot, this styling guide will help you choose the perfect outfit for your photoshoot in Ibiza.

Ibiza has a unique atmosphere and very specific light conditions.
Soft sand tones, turquoise water, white walls, terracotta textures… everything on the island reflects light in a way that makes clothing choices extra important.

The right outfits ensure that:
- your skin tone looks beautiful
- the environment enhances rather than distracts
- movement looks natural and elegant
- the gallery feels calm, cohesive and timeless
- your personality stays front and center

What you wear shouldn’t just look good. It should help you feel fully yourself.

Why clothing is so important for a photoshoot on Ibiza

There’s no “one size fits all,” but Ibiza is an island full of soft tones and warm reflections, which makes certain colors work better than others.

1. Neutrals
You really can’t go wrong with neutral colors.
Perfect for every shoot are: beige, cream, sand, white, brown, light grey.
These colors create a calm base and keep the focus on you.

2. Earth tones
These are still relatively neutral but have a bit more power than the previous colors.
For those who want more depth: terracotta, olive green, rust, taupe, warm brown.
These shades look stunning with rocks, nature and sunset colors.

3. Pastels
If you want a romantic atmosphere, pastels are the way to go.
Think: dusty pink, light blue, sage, soft yellow.
These colors are subtle enough to blend into the environment yet still make you stand out.

What I generally recommend avoiding (although it can work if we make the right choices together, so send me a message if you want to check): neon colors, very busy prints, large logos, overly shiny fabrics.

These often distract too much from you and don’t work well with the light.

Colors That Work Perfectly in Ibiza

For couples, it’s all about harmony between the outfits. You don’t have to match, but you do want to complement each other.

Good combinations are for example: beige + white, sand + terracotta, or denim + olive green.

My general tips:
- Choose outfits that match in style (if one wears casual, go casual together. The same goes for chic)
- As mentioned before: avoid bright colors. Color blocking is fun as a trend, but you don’t want to compete with each other as a couple

The most important thing is that you feel free. If it feels comfortable, it shows comfortable.

A maternity shoot breathes femininity, softness and strength, all at the same time. And ideally, you want clothing that enhances that feeling. Think: flowy dresses that move with the wind, soft fabrics like linen, muslin and chiffon, crop tops with long skirts for an editorial look, body-hugging dresses that accentuate your belly. For colors, you can use the palette mentioned above. And by the way: minimalistic clothing combined with slightly larger accessories always works beautifully.

For entrepreneurs, clothing is not just about style. It’s also about positioning.
That means choosing the right outfit is incredibly important, which is why during a session with an entrepreneur, I always think along with her about how we can visually express everything her brand stands for.

We don’t stay at the surface; we start by looking for the deeper layer.
Because by going inward first, we can then make sure the outside world sees an image that resonates — one that makes people want to be part of her world. And being part of her world often means they want to buy her products or services.

The most important rule (if you can even call it that) is this: you should feel like yourself. Clothing can enhance, soften or add something extra to your story, but it should never play the leading role. You are the star of the show.

A good outfit is supportive. The rest is created by the light, the environment and, not to forget: your energy.

Whether you’re planning a love shoot, a maternity session or a personal branding shoot: with the right styling, your photoshoot will not only be beautiful, but timeless.
